A place to pause and reflect.

Our services

Individual Therapy

Therapy that is tailored to your individual needs. Our psychologists have experience treating mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety and stress. Therapy can also support you to feel more in control of your emotions or help you make changes in your relationships at home or at work.

Child, Adolescent & Family Therapy

Supporting children, adolescents and their families requires understanding the complex dynamics of family systems and childhood development. Therapy can support children and young people to build emotion regulation skills and feel more in control. It can also be useful for parents and families to attend to better understand each person’s individual needs and how to work together as a family unit.

Couples Therapy

Counselling is a way for a couple to come together in a safe non-judgemental space to work through their issues. We all turn up in relationships with some emotional baggage and counselling can help unpack that. Couples often get caught up in negative repeated patterns. Therapy brings an awareness of unconscious behaviour and helps you try to make changes.

Media Consulting

Jo and Kate have experience working as consulting psychologists on a variety of television shows. This role involves assessment of mental health vulnerabilities of potential participants and supporting the wellbeing and mental health of contestants in high-stress environments.

Fees & Rebates

Therapy Sessions

Sessions are 50 minutes in length. The remainder of the hour is used to write clinical notes and any necessary letters, and to review your file. Each clinician sets their own fees. (N.B. Couples counselling sessions are not eligible for rebates from Medicare).

Payment & Cancellation

Full payment is required at the time of consultation and the preferred method of payment is credit card.

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please give as much notice as possible so the appointment time can be offered to someone else in need.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a cancellation fee (subject to the clinician’s discretion). Rebates cannot be claimed for cancellation fees.

Rebates

Clinical Psychology sessions are eligible for a rebate under the Medicare Better Access Scheme with a valid Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).

Medicare will reimburse $131 per standard consultation with a Clinical Psychologist. You will be required to pay the full amount on the day of your appointment and Medicare will provide your rebate directly to your bank account.

Rebates are provided for 10 individual sessions and 10 group sessions per calendar year. Please see your General Practitioner to discuss getting a MHCP.

If the doctor deems you eligible, they will provide a MHCP and a referral letter for six sessions. When the six sessions have been used you can attend a review with the referring GP and if required they can write a re-referral letter for an additional four sessions.

Under Medicare policy, the Clinical Psychologist must receive a copy of the referral letter and the Mental Health Care Plan in order for the rebate to be processed. If paperwork is not received the session is not eligible for a rebate.

Psychiatrists can also make referrals to Psychologists under the Better Access Scheme. Should a psychiatrist refer you, only a referral letter is required.
